Cannes thriller ‘Hunt’ from ‘Squid Game’ star Lee Jung-jae sold to over 200 territories (exclusive) | News

Squid Game star Lee Jung-jae’s directorial debut, Hunt, has been sold to 207 territories by Korea’s Megabox Plus M following its world premiere at Cannes.

The political thriller, set in 1980s Korea, has been picked up for the UK by Altitude Film, France by The Jokers Films, and Germany, Austria, Switzerland and Italy by Koch Films.

The feature has also sold to a raft of territories in Asia including Japan (The Klockworx), Taiwan (Long Shong International), Thailand (Sahamongkolfilm), India (MVP Entertainment), the Philippines (Laon Company+), Mongolia (The Filmbridge LLC), Hong Kong (A Really Good Film), Malaysia (Horizon Film Entertainment/4ward Pictures) and Vietnam (Lotte Entertainment Vietnam) as well as Singapore and Indonesia (Encore Films).

Further deals were stuck for Belgium, Luxembourg and the Netherlands (Periscoop Film), Denmark, Norway, Sweden, Finland and Iceland (Non-stop Production), Spain (A Contracorriente Films),…
