Indians Shine At 24-hr Ultra Distance Race | Bengaluru News

Bengaluru: Indian runners, both men and women, excelled at India’s first Ultra Distance Race, a non-stop 24-hour competition, held at Sree Kanteerava Stadium from Saturday morning.
The race that ended on Sunday saw the Indian men’s team clinch gold in the individual and team events, a maiden honour at the competition. The IAU (International Association of Ultrarunners) 24H Asia and Oceanic Championship of 2022 was hosted by Ageas Foundation Life Insurance, in association with the Athletics Federation of India (AFI).
Teams of runners from various countries, including Australia, Poland, Chinese Taipei, Lebanon, Mongolia, the United Kingdom and India, took part in the event.
With participants taking to the synthetic track at Kanteerava, the Indian teams excelled against their competitors, mainly the Chinese.
