The meaning of China’s Belt and Road Initiative

China’s rise as a global power has been accompanied by remarkable investments in several regional and transcontinental initiatives, and the most significant is the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI), which was launched by Chinese President Xi Jinping in 2013.
